Hey Midtowne Family!

Today marks the 11th Week of our Corona Crisis. I am feeling, more than ever, that many of us are beyond tired of everything that is going on and are so very ready to get back to normal…whatever normal is going to be. I believe the end of this is near but in the meantime, we need to continue to seek God’s Strength, Wisdom, and Peace and trust Him to give us the Grace we need to get through this. In fact, that is what iwill be talking about this Sunday. Read 2 Corinthians 4:16-18 to get a sneak preview.

We will be online again this week at 10:00am. I want to encourage you to invite someone to join you online. We have created an Invitation that you can use to invite people to worship with you. You can find it at the bottom of this email. I want to encourage you to worship together with your friends, family, neighbors, and even your Neighborhood Group. The restrictions for meeting in smaller groups are not nearly as stringent as large groups and I would encourage you to take advantage of our Online Service and the Discussion Questions in the Worship Guide to help you and others Find and Experience God’s Best! What a great way to stay Connectedthrough this Crisis!

People are asking when we will be meeting together in our building again. Thepast two weeks, our Staff and Elders have been thinking, talking, and Prayingabout this. To be honest with you, I was really hoping to meet together this week. But with the changes in the number of cases and the continued restrictions that the Governor has put in place, it is just not reasonable nor prudent for us to meet together yet. Believe me, no one is more disappointed than I am about that. We will continue to monitor things very closely and will make plans to be together as soon as we can do so safely and in a manner that affords us the maximum opportunity to Experience God’s Best in our worship services.

Summer is upon us! I know this summer is going to be different than normal just like everything else. But here is something that will be the same – You Need to Connect with Other Christians this Summer! If you are already in a Neighborhood Group, make plans to get together consistently this Summer. If you are not in a group, stay tuned because Josh will be announcing new groups soon! We are even bringing back our Taco Groups! These groups get together and eat Mexican Food and Taco ‘bout Sunday’s message. They are a lot of fun and are a great way to grow spiritually and enjoy connecting with other believers. So watch for those things coming soon.

Brook and Aaron are working hard on things for kids and students this summer too. They have some great things in the works so be sure to watch your email and text for these exciting events that will help your kids Find and Experience God’s Best this summer.

One last thing. Thank You for being so faithful to worship God through Giving! I am blown away each week to see how faithful and obedient you are to give to God through our church. I ask you to continue to give and I know that God will continue to bless as we all remain obedient to Him.

I hope you have a great weekend. Please contact me or any of our staff if there is anything we can do for you. Or just contact us to say Hey!

I will see youOnline Sunday!

Hey Midtowne Family!

I hope your week has been good and I pray that you are healthy and safe. I suspect you are like most of the people I have talked to and are past ready for this madness to be over. I know that I am and I am asking you to pray with me that it ends very soon.

We will be online again this week for our worship service. You can tune in at 10:00am on our web site or on our YouTube channel. Be sure to go to our web site and download the outline so you can take notes during the message. As always, we are including discussion questions for you to use with your family, friends, and Neighborhood Group. And we will have Drive Through Donuts this week at 9:00am.

Many of you have asked about when we think we will be able to meet together in our building again. Our Staff and Elders are working on a plan to make that happen soon. Please pray that God will give us unity and wisdom to do what is best for our church and what is the most reasonable and prudent plan. I will make sure you know when we come up with a plan.

This weekend is Memorial Day and I want to encourage you to take time to pray for families who have lost loved ones in service to our country. Take time to praise God for our country and pray for our Leaders as well. We will have a special Memorial Day tribute in our service this Sunday, too.

I hope you get some time off this weekend as well. Take time to enjoy your friends and family and relax. That is so important for your spiritual and mental health. Thank God for whatever you get to do for the holiday even if it is just sleeping a little extra!

This week’s message is all about some observations I have made and some lessons I have learned in the 10 weeks since we started our online service. It is a lot of fun and I think you will find some practical ways to move toward God’s Best in your life as we talk about these principles.

One last thing. Be sure to INVITE someone to tune in with you this week. People need to be encouraged and need something that is meaningful and positive to hang on to during this crisis. The music and message will provide those things and more for everyone who tunes in. So be a good friend and neighbor and share the link to the video with someone!

As always, please contact me or any of our Staff if you need anything. We would love to serve you in any way we can…and it would be great just to hear from you as well!

Have a great Holiday Weekend and I will see you online Sunday.
